Product Application

The AACSR conductors are also suitable for use in all practical transmission towers, and other structures. Application ranges from extra high voltage (EHV) transmission lines to sub-service spans at distribution or utilization voltages on private premises as like as ACSR.


Product Structure

AACSR conductor  composed of one or more layers of 6201 -T81 aluminum alloy wire, stranded with a high-strength coated steel core.

The proportions of aluminum alloy and steel can be varied to obtain the relation between currentcarrying capacity and mechanical strength best suited to each application.

Core wire for AACSR is available with Class A, B or C galvanizing; "aluminized" aluminum coated (AZ): or aluminum clad (AW).

Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core or infusion of the complete cable with grease.
